Explore Traditional Materials and Techniques

Students will work with a variety of traditional materials such as pencils of varying hardness, charcoal, coloured pencils, markers, watercolour pencils, and watercolour paints. The focus remains on traditional art methods like drawing, painting, and mixed media techniques, enabling students to enhance their craftsmanship and creativity.

Our GCSE Art Classes are ideal for those aged 11 to 16 who want to improve their artistic skills and develop a diverse portfolio. Each class runs for 90 minutes from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesdays. These sessions focus on drawing and watercolour techniques, helping students grow their skills across a variety of mediums.

Each class follows a project-based approach, focusing on different aspects of art, including shading, perspective, life drawing, portraiture, and more. Some projects will include watercolour techniques, while others focus on pencil and charcoal, providing a comprehensive experience across multiple mediums. The goal is to ensure every child can learn valuable techniques that contribute to their overall artistic growth.

Every class introduces a new project, enabling children to attend as their schedule allows and still make progress in their artistic journey. To get the most out of the program and steadily build skills, weekly attendance is recommended.

Every session covers fresh techniques and projects aimed at enhancing artistic abilities. While regular participation is encouraged for consistent progress, children will still benefit from every session, even if their schedule occasionally prevents them from attending weekly.

We offer engaging drawing GCSE art classes, tailored to children preparing for their GCSE Art assessments and those who are skilled and wish to start early. Our classes take place on Wednesdays and run for 90 minutes, accommodating up to 16 students per session. These in-depth classes focus on building a strong portfolio, allowing children to develop their technical skills and artistic creativity. All art supplies are provided, ensuring students have everything they need to complete their projects to a high standard, which they can proudly showcase as part of their coursework.

Wednesdays at Mere Green

From 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Classes for children aged 11 to 16 who want to refine their drawing and watercolour techniques in preparation for GCSE Art. Led by Rachael, a skilled artist with a BFA, each class is designed to challenge students creatively while enhancing their technical skills, offering the support needed to build a strong portfolio and succeed in their artistic journey.

£15 for 1.5-hour session

Book Art Class

There is an additional handling fee of 2.9% of the total price for credit card payments to cover the operator’s fees for accepting online payments. In the case of a bank transfer, no additional fee is charged.

Art classes for kids take place in an ideal setting, offering an amazing atmosphere and a warm, friendly staff. The location provides a multitude of intellectual activities, including a library conveniently situated on the first floor. It is a fantastic destination for families and children alike, with ample parking available outside.
