Natural Watercolour Painting

Natural Watercolour Painting

Time: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Price: £21
Full Creative Day: £56 for all three sessions

This natural watercolour painting session is a lovely way for children to explore colour, creativity and nature together. Instead of only using ready-made paints, children will discover how beautiful colours can be created from simple natural ingredients, such as fruit, vegetables, coffee and other everyday materials.

To begin, children will make a small selection of their own natural colours. They will learn how different ingredients can create soft, earthy and surprising shades. Then, using the colours they have made, along with natural paints prepared by our team, they will create a guided watercolour artwork to take home.

This session is designed to feel calm, creative and exciting. Children will have the chance to experiment with colour, explore gentle watercolour techniques and see how art can be inspired by the world around them.

All materials for this session are provided, including watercolour paper, brushes, natural colour materials and prepared paints.

Your Child’s Safety is Our Top Priority:

We are committed to providing a fun, creative, and safe environment for your child. Our lead artist, Agnieszka, has been working with local schools for over 9 years and is very familiar with the procedures and safety of children. In addition, she also runs after school art clubs for local schools.

During our workshops, children are supported by a minimum of four adults at all times. The workshops take place in a self contained building located at the back of the church, which is used exclusively for our activities during the session. To ensure everyone’s safety, children are not able to freely walk around outside the workshop areas. The building has separate toilets for boys and girls, and children are supervised when moving between spaces.

When children need to use the toilet, an adult will oversee the process, with the toilets located within the same building and visible from the workshop area. An adult will remain outside the toilet to provide supervision.

As part of the booking process, we ask for details of an additional emergency contact and the person who will be collecting the child after the workshop. We also operate a strict no nuts policy to help ensure the safety of all participants.

Our priority is to provide a positive and educational artistic experience for your child, while also ensuring their health and safety. Join us for a fun filled and inspiring workshop led by our experienced artists.

Materials Included:

All materials are provided for our children’s art workshops. Children will use a wide range of creative supplies, carefully chosen for each guided project.

They may also use prepared natural paints, watercolour paper, brushes, mixing pots, palettes, pencils, fine liners and extra details such as botanical shapes, leaves or decorative touches, depending on the project.

For Acrylic Painting on Canvas, children will use a 30 x 40 cm canvas, good quality acrylic paints, brushes, palettes and water pots. Depending on the project, they may also use glitter paint, paint markers, sponges or other decorative materials to add texture and finishing details.

For Art & Craft, children may use coloured card, patterned paper, fabric, ribbons, buttons, gems, sequins, paper flowers, wooden shapes, craft adhesives and other mixed media materials. Low-melt glue guns may also be used during some projects and are suitable for children aged 7+ only.
